Sneh Rana Makes Her RCB Debut in WPL 2025

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally handed a debut to seasoned all-rounder Sneh Rana in their WPL 2025 clash against UP Warriorz at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on February 24. Rana, who previously captained Gujarat Giants, joined RCB as a replacement for the injured Shreyanka Patil.

A Crucial Addition to RCB

Despite going unsold in the auction, Rana’s experience made her an ideal fit for RCB, who have been struggling with injuries to key players like Sophie Devine, Kate Cross, and Asha Sobhana. Her off-spin and batting depth bring balance to the squad, especially on spin-friendly tracks.

Career Highlights

Rana has played 52 white-ball matches for India, picking up 53 wickets. She made history in June 2024 by taking an eight-wicket haul in a Test match against South Africa, becoming only the third woman to achieve this feat.

Strengthening RCB’s Spin Attack

With Patil—RCB’s highest wicket-taker last season—ruled out, Rana’s inclusion is a strategic move. She has previously taken six wickets in WPL and will be crucial in helping RCB find their rhythm after an inconsistent start.

Fans will be eager to see how Rana performs in her new colors, hoping she can provide the stability RCB needs to push for WPL 2025 glory.
